The Riverside County Board of Supervisors has announced plans to remove the Cabazon region from the Banning Library District. The County plans to construct a new 5,000 square foot facility on the street between Cabazon Elementary School and the James A. Venable Community Center. The Cabazon Branch Library of the Banning Library District will close effective June 30, 2011. The Cabazon library's book collection will be moved to the main Banning Public Library, and Cabazon residents are welcome to use the facilities at the main branch at 21 W. Nicolet St, Banning, CA 92220. Current Cabazon branch patrons will still be able to use their library cards to check out books at the main branch.
